I use this tool to rapidly calibrate the Z axis horizontally. (Before using, make sure to calibrate and secure the couplers on either side so they are precisely aligned with the bed.) To level the carriage, position this tool snugly between the Z axis coupler and the X carriage bracket. Then, carefully raise or lower the carriage on each side until the tool fits comfortably in place.
