X-Axis Idler End with M10 Threads

thingiverse

I added threads to the ends of M8 rod inserts for a M10-1.5 set screw. The threaded portion drops down 15 mm from the right axis, allowing the 8mm smooth rod to fit into this section completely. The purpose of this design is to transfer force away from z-axis rods that tend to bend under load when an x-axis belt tensioner is used. By pushing against the x-axis smooth rods with set screws, you can relieve tension on the z-axis instead. The x-axis idler end features M10 threads and is connected to EjeX_derecha.STL, which comes from a Prusa i3 Hephestos by bqLabs design. For a complete x-axis assembly: To find an x-axis motor mount, download EjeX_izquierda.stl from Thing # 371842. Thing # 1118272 is the x-axis idler tensioner, which needs to be printed in nylon for added strength. Thing # 1133926 is the x-axis carriage.
