Storage of the Mk8 hotend extruder on a Prusa Mendel printer is straightforward. The extruder mounts to the top of the print head using standard M3 and M5 bolts, which are included with the kit. To store it safely when not in use, remove any loose debris from the extruder's heating block and thermistor wires. Then, carefully lift the extruder off the print head, taking care not to touch any electrical components. Store the extruder in a dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
