X Axis Cantilevered Set, 8mm lead screw, for V slot Extrusion (Tronxy X1 inspired)
thingiverse
One of the files, the back plate, was incorrect, so I replaced it by April 11th, 2018. It has now been swapped out with a version featuring a cutout for the X Axis Motor. This is my modification of a Tronxy X1 X axis plates. The extruder motor is not present as I am using Titan for PLA and Aero for TPU. Belts run underneath the X-Axis extrusion so there's no noisy rubbing in the area of the carriage. Eight-millimeter lead screws have replaced five-millimeter ones. The Z motor bracket is based on the dimensions of the spacers I have in place, open-builds aluminum. Tension is adjusted with eccentric nuts. This replacement is very strong and stable, exactly what I needed for an extended X axis and a dual-drive extruder. You will need longer M4 screws for the arm. I've already replaced my M5s on the X carriage with 25-millimeter lengths so they don't bite into the mounting plate.
