X Axis Belt Tensioner with Bearings
thingiverse
I took the original model, slimmed down the parts that fit snugly into the frame's grooves so it glides in effortlessly, while beefing up the front to provide a sturdy surface for the idler pulley to rest against. I also eliminated unnecessary curves and removed the plates surrounding the spring to eliminate supports that are a hassle to remove. Printed at 100% infill with slic3r's automatic support features engaged. PLA was used, and it appears to be suitable because it doesn't get hot enough to cause any issues, but only time will confirm whether warping occurs. Two MR63ZZ bearings are required, easily sourced on Amazon.
