X Axis Belt Tensioner for Anet A6
thingiverse
This is the most robust X axis belt tensioner for Anet A6 available! You will need to use some hardware: a rivet nut, a bolt (about 40 mm long) and 2 small zip ties. Multiple models are provided for three different metal element sizes (M4, M5, and M6), allowing you to use the parts you already have on hand. The main benefits of this design include:\r\n- Unmatched strength - metal components enable extremely tight belt tension\r\n- Superior stiffness - a flat section at the end of the bolt ensures stability and prevents wobbling or shaking\r\n- A secure fit - zip ties guarantee that your belt remains firmly in place\r\n\r\nInstallation instructions:\r\n1. Insert your rivet nut into the hole of the element (threaded piece facing upwards, as shown in the photo). You don't need to tighten it yet - it will stay put once you've installed the belt.\r\n2. Screw the bolt into the nut - a wing screw can be used for convenience, but it's not required.\r\n3. Attach the printed bolt head to the end of the bolt.\r\n4. Place your zip ties in the model holes - this is easier to do before installing the belt.\r\n5. Assemble the entire unit on the printer carriage by inserting the belt into the slots and tightening the zip ties to secure it in place.\r\n6. Tighten the belt by screwing in the bolt.\r\nThat's all!\r\n\r\nThis design was inspired by @rafrider's "The Shield".
