X Axes Belt Grabber Vise Tool
thingiverse
This project is ongoing and needs refinement. A major source of frustration for me is setting the X axes belt tension correctly - it requires significant force to keep it stable while making adjustments. My ultimate goal is to develop a tool that firmly secures the belt, freeing up my hands to make further tweaks. Materials Required: Two M3-25 or 30 screws in a countersunk configuration Two M3 nuts Securing the belt firmly and finding something to grasp will simplify this process significantly. 5/27/2015 Alternatively, you can head over to your local hardware store like Home Depot, where you'll find DeWALT 4.5-inch (11CM) compact trigger clamps for around $5.76. An updated version of the tool has been uploaded. The design now employs a three-screw system; however, using only two screws is also acceptable.
