X and Y-axis Sway Bar

X and Y-axis Sway Bar

thingiverse

Most 3D printers equipped with beds suspended by a screw-spring combination have noticeable movement in the Y direction. This is particularly frustrating on larger volume printers with heavy beds. Unhappy with the available parts to address this issue, I designed my own solution to mitigate Y movement while still allowing for flexibility in the Z direction, which is essential for bed leveling. These types of print beds are sway structures, similar to a tall deck on a house, which influenced the geometry and design. Two files were specifically designed for the CR-10, but scaling the model could make it usable for all print beds. Determine your required distance then use your preferred tool for scaling. If there are specific requests, let me know and I'll try to accommodate them. Additionally, for the sake of improvement, please provide feedback on how this works for you!
