Wyze Sense Water Sensor Bottom
thingiverse
This is an upgraded version of the original Wyze Sense water sensor base that includes the following modifications: 1) Created water channeling paths underneath the sensor to aid in water flowing to contacts more quickly. 2) Modified design to work with standardized 18-22 AWG spade wire connector terminals. To use this new base: 1) Follow steps to remove the reed switch and add wire leads to the board. 2) After attaching leads to board, and running thru casing, crimp on a spade connected (such as these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B1753K2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to each of the leads. 3) Once the wire is attached, push the spade connectors thru the holes. 4) Bend both spade connectors towards the center of the case at the path intersection and ensure that they are close to each other, but not touching 5) This design works with the original top piece, so you can just snap that on after getting everything setup. The spade connectors will lift the casing up just slightly, and that is ok and by design. That ensures the spade connectors are always in contact with the surface underneath. The STL requires support which is used in the channels under the casing, but it is only a couple of layers thick, and pretty easy to remove. Good Luck!
