Wyze Sense Contact Mounts

These mounts are designed specifically for Wyze Cam Sense Contact sensors, available at wyzecam.com. I've personally purchased and used these sensors, which work flawlessly, but sometimes the foam mounting tape that comes with them doesn't perform well. To address this issue, I created these custom mounts for the sensors. There are several options to choose from, each catering to different needs. The "V1" mount features a screw hole discreetly hidden at its bottom. The "V2" variant is similar, but it adds an extra wing with an additional screw hole, allowing for more flexibility when placing the sensor. This way, you can use either part of the V1 or V2 to find the perfect fit. Additionally, there's a collection of spacers included for both parts of the sensor, making it easy to accommodate doors or frames that may be recessed. These spacers help ensure a snug and proper alignment of the sensor. For garage door mounting, I designed a unique solution using a two-part "hinge" mount to hold the sensor portion in place. The hinge is mounted vertically with screw holes at its top, while the magnet is positioned just below it. When the garage door closes (assuming a vertical position), the sensor hangs down near the magnet. As the door opens and moves to a horizontal position, the sensor swings away from the door, breaking contact with the magnet. To facilitate smooth printing, there are two small pieces (.4mm thick) located under the hinge portion, just above the swivel point. These pieces should be removed after printing by simply snipping them off (as shown in the attached image). These mounts are designed to provide a precise fit for the sensor parts, allowing you to easily remove and replace them as needed. However, please note that your printer may produce slightly varying results, so feel free to use double-sided tape if necessary to secure the sensors in place.
