Wyze camera V2 close-up lens and mount

<p>I point this camera at my Prusa Mini printer, just inches away. The Wyze cameras are not designed for close-up use, so I designed a lens mount to hang in front of the camera to hold a 58mm closeup lens. I found that the 4x diopter lens from this cheap kit does really well.</p> <p>I also wanted full flexibility in camera placement. The stand bracket is made to straddle the edge of a wire rack shelf, and has metal plate double-sticky-taped down on it. The top piece has a strong magnet inserted in the bottom, and a slot that is designed to accept a light-duty angle iron piece that was left over from a garage door motor mount kit. The camera foot has a magnet in it that sticks to the angle iron. With this setup I can point the camara at any angle and from any height.</p> <p>Once you hang a lens in front of the camera, the night vision LEDs in the camera will reflect back onto the lens, making the setup useless in the dark. To solve this I added a clip on top to hold an LED light bar ripped from a Harbor Freight little blue flashlight, powered from the 5V USB (current limited). I power the light and camera from the printer USB port, so that the camera comes on with the printer.</p> <p>Incidentally, I run Octoprint on a Linux box, which does not have an attached webcam, so I chose the Wyze V2 camera to be on my wireless network. I don't need/want it to have WAN access, and only need to view it from within my LAN, so I installed the RTSP firmware available from Wyze.
