WYZE Camera Case for Co2 Laser
thingiverse
I recently got a 50W Co2 Laser and started using the Lightburn program. It lets you integrate a bed camera, but those cameras are crazy expensive, and you need a computer within USB cable distance away from the laser to connect to the camera. I found a way to use a cheap WYZE cam IP camera with IP Cam Driver http://www.ipcamdriver.com/ to bring in the camera feed wirelessly. The problem with the WYZE cam is that it's just a big cube and sticks down too far. To fix this, I made a replacement case that rearranges the boards to make it flatter. The final result reduces the overall height to half its original size. Here's the video tutorial I used to remove the camera components from the original case: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYrLeWjRiqU Here are the complete setup instructions for getting the WYZE cam to work inside Lightburn wirelessly. First, go to this site to download and install the official RTSP supported firmware from WYZE: https://support.wyzecam.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026245231-Wyze-Cam-RTSP Once you have the camera’s firmware updated, follow these steps. One part that took a bit of trial and error to figure out was the exact URL path to enter for the new camera settings within the IP Cam Driver app for the RTSP stream. This is the format I used in the camera configuration section: Name: (Enter whatever you’d like to call it) User ID: Username set up within the WYZE app RTSP section Password: Password set up within the WYZE app RTSP section Address: rtsp://UserID:Password@192.168.69.28/live Even though the address contains the user ID and password already, it wouldn't work until I also entered the information into the respective fields as well. Once I did that and the Driver said it was streaming, I was able to follow the rest of the steps from the video within Lightburn to make the camera visible.
