Wyze Cam V2 Housing Remix with Lexan Insert

thingiverse

This is a remix of Wyze Cam V2 Housing by greenlee. I modified the main housing to accommodate a 2.5mm x 61mm x 54mm piece of polycarbonate, also known as Lexan, that can be installed to protect the front of the Wyze Cam. The design no longer features a slot or groove for the glare shield, but it's possible to add it back in at a later time if needed. If you still want to use the glare shield, one option is to print it without the tongue and then glue it back on using Weld-On 16 adhesive. For now, I've omitted the shield, so be sure to grab it from the original file. To ensure proper printing of the overhang for the polycarbonate, I recommend using supports during the printing process. Alternatively, you can use acrylic sheet instead of polycarbonate if desired. To make the installation easier, slightly sand the edges of the polycarbonate to create a bevel so it will slide in smoothly. Finally, apply a bead of silicone sealant around the edges to ensure a more weather-tight fit.
