Wyze Cam Mounting Bracket

Wyze Cam Mounting BracketI needed a very simple bracket to mount the Wyze Cam outdoors, on my observatory windowsill. It needed to look sideways at roughly 45 degrees, and the stock mount did not allow for this. The mount is intended to be affixed using the provided adhesive pad. The shorter side attaches to the vertical support surface, and the camera mount metal ring is affixed to the longer side. This allows for free camera rotation and positional adjustment. Since the majority of weight is carried be the side mounted to the vertical surface (window or the wall), it needs to be as flat as possible, in order for the adhesive to get a good bond. Thus, the shorter side should be printed directly on the printer bed to make it very smooth. The camera sits on top of the supplied metal ring mounted on the longer side. Since it does not experience much stress, the adhesive selection is not critical. I did not have another adhesive pad, so I used the silicone, but many other adhesives will work. Just make sure they are not weakened by the water ingress (so, superglue will not work).I printed this with 100% infill to give it more strength. This also allows you to drill holes for alternative ways of mounting.Unless you print this part with the ASA filament (so with PLA or ABS), make sure to paint it with some primer (also matches the camera color), since you want the material to be UV resistant. If not, the mount will eventually crack in the strong sunlight. I am also providing the model STEP file should you need to make modifications. It makes life simple, and I wish everyone would do this.NovaLab Observatory
