Designed specifically for clients' unique needs, the Baofeng UV-5R 1" Ram Ball Mount combines precision 3D printing with readily available stronger materials to create a robust solution capable of withstanding the toughest conditions. Two product files are designed to be connected by a sturdy 3/8"x2" rod made from wood, aluminum, or steel. This configuration enables the ABS or PETG components to benefit from the exceptional shear strength of the rod material, thereby maximizing survival chances under harsh conditions. Like our other mounts, we highly recommend printing with ABS or PETG at an infill of 40% or higher to prevent your radio from suddenly coming loose and suffering damage due to a part failure. The edges and connection points have been carefully chamfered to strike a balance between material efficiency and structural integrity.
