WWI or WWII Barrage Balloon
thingiverse
We play Canvas Eagles, a World War I bi-plane tabletop game, and I wanted a model of a barrage balloon that I could place on the table without having to compromise on looks or print quality. Since I couldn't find anything that met my expectations, I decided to design one myself. The result is a simple yet visually appealing model that I think fits perfectly with the Canvas Eagles theme. The model consists of two halves printed in white PLA, which are then glued together for added stability and durability. A small hole is drilled into the underside of the model, allowing it to be easily attached to a stick or antenna using standard hobby materials. To ensure seamless integration with the game board, I found that a 200% resize works perfectly with Canvas Eagles at a scale of 1/72. This scaling allows for a balanced representation of the barrage balloon's size and proportions relative to other game elements.
