Loading and Firing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ne2X3v9xELw Post Processing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COrDdkdL6ac Here is the ultimate 3D printed rubber band gun, modeled after a Colt Government Series 1911. The WW3D 1911R prints in place without any assembly, glue, or screws needed. Just remove the supports and load to fire. I have included a removable magazine and collapsible targets that fit perfectly inside the magazine for easy storage. It fires standard #31 rubber bands, eliminating the need for overpriced "rubber band gun ammo". Below is a link to the recommended rubber bands for this design. Using stronger rubber bands or loading more than four shots may result in rotor failure. Alliance Rubber 96315 Advantage Rubber Bands Size #31 , 1 lb Box Contains Approx. 850 Bands (2 1/2" x 1/8", Red) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008X09PDC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Pp.KCb72JE91W Because this design is a highly detailed replica of an actual firearm, print it in bright colors to avoid any potential misidentification. 3D Printing Settings Layer Height: 0.2 Supports: Only from the build plate; if using custom supports, ensure they support the rotor and axle for smooth spinning. Remove any supports extending into the body as they will be difficult to remove. Infill: 30% Orient the model with the barrel pointing upwards at a 15-degree angle towards the top of the gun, as shown in the picture. Depending on your layer height and machine tolerances, you may need to sand the rotor's edges to remove layer steps and ensure smooth operation.
