WW2 Medium Concrete Island Bunker
thingiverse
This bunker is part of a larger system with other components still in development, but it can be used independently. It's a standalone Japanese WW2 Bunker designed for Bolt Action gameplay at 28mm scale. US Marines would have encountered large fortified bunkers like this during the Assault on Tarawa or the Battle of Peleliu. While not historically accurate, the design prioritizes simplicity, playability, and modularity. Remixes, upgrades, and custom features are encouraged. This bunker is scaled for Bolt Action and suitable for 25mm/28mm wargames. For game systems like Flames of War, scale it down. To match games such as 40k or Sigmar, scale it up about 10%. Supports in the doorway and embrasures are suggested but not required; I haven't tested without them. There are two different roofs available for this bunker. Sometimes a thicker concrete looks better. Other roofs can be found in the Island Fortified Defense System collection. Additional pieces for this system can be combined to create an extensive Island Fortified Defense System. This Medium Bunker connects to any entrance or hallway piece in the Island Fortified Defense System Collection. DESIGN NOTE: The roofs are designed to hang over the entrance or hallway connection slightly, making it easier to pick up and put down. This design also allows for shorter hallway roofs to accommodate this feature. The example prints were done on an Ender 3 with a .20 layer height using 3D Solutech PLA. Rocks used in this design include: - Boulders for Gloomhaven - Sculpted (1, 2, 3 Hex) by RobagoN - Rock Formation Generator See more at My Collections: https://www.thingiverse.com/celangey/collections
