This is an accurate replica of a WW1 trench, meticulously crafted by combining custom-made parts with downloadable models from Thingiverse. The components were carefully assembled using cardboard as a base material. Print Settings: - Printer: BQ Prusa i3 Hephestos - Rafts: No rafts were used. - Supports: Yes, supports were enabled to ensure structural integrity. - Resolution: A high resolution of 0.2 mm was chosen for maximum detail. - Infill: The infill density was set to 20% for optimal balance between weight and print time. Post-Printing: The model underwent a meticulous painting process using acrylic paint to achieve a realistic finish. To replicate the top soil, a mixture of dirt and small stones was carefully glued together with a solution of water and wood glue. Inside the mortar, a spring was strategically placed to allow for simulated firing action when loading the mortar ammunition.
