History -------- In 1895, brothers John Cawsey Dennis and Herbert Raymond Dennis founded Dennis Brothers. Their initial success was with Speed King bicycles, but when World War I broke out in August 1914, they quickly shifted their production to meet the urgent demand. This involved manufacturing three-ton subvention lorries for the British military directly under the War Office's guidelines.
