A 9.5g quadcopter optimized for 3D printing takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes to print at 40mm/s with a layer thickness of 0.2mm. No fill is required, but 20% is recommended. Support structures are not necessary, and the model should be printed upside down. CAD designs can be made using Onshape, while Solidworks is useful for simulation and rendering. Topology optimization was done the old-fashioned way in the Southern Hemisphere. The quadcopter features a lofted hollow shell for lightweight design and easily detaches from its load. Simulations were run to test the load's peeling action, with one showing an FOS of 1.85 but likely closer to 1 due to manufacturing imperfections. Another simulation demonstrated failure when only one foot was fixed to the load, emphasizing the importance of proper peeling techniques. To avoid issues, it is recommended to grip the feet directly or hold the quadcopter by the front or rear while peeling the feet from the load simultaneously.
