ws2812b Switch
thingiverse
This is a custom switch that can be printed and assembled to create an illuminated addressable switch array using only one additional GPIO pin on your microcontroller. The best description of how to print and assemble the switches is available at https://github.com/phorton1/projects-ws2812bSwitchArray1/tree/master/stl. A YouTube video demonstrating the completed switches and circuit can be found at https://youtu.be/zrMks7Vt0dI. All of the printing and assembly instructions, source code, STL, and Fusion 360 files are also available in the GitHub repository at: https://github.com/phorton1/projects-ws2812bSwitchArray1. Additionally, there is a Hackaday project about this at https://hackaday.io/project/167696-one-wire-3d-printed-ws2812b-switch-array. It took significant fine-tuning to get these switches to print well and in batches. Using a 0.20mm nozzle for the first time presented a learning curve. Assembling the switches is not simple. For more details, please see the GitHub page(s).
