WRX Grill Badge Mount
prusaprinters

For my son's Subaru WRX 2006, he wanted to mount a new badge on the car front grill. So, a clamp that fits into the front grill mesh was needed. The mesh is coated steel. Here is my 3D printed solution.

To keep the screw mount short, I cut a 8g x 12mm self taping screw by sawing of a length to make the threaded area 7mm long.

There are two 3D printed parts. A top and bottom section. The bottom section is glued to the back of the new badge (CS9 Club Spec badge, see the 3D print elsewhere on this site) with epoxy resin glue. All the 3D prints are made in PETG for weathering durability and colour stability.

I hope you can find this print useful, too.

Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.

Print instructions

My print is made in PETG 1.75mm 3DFillies black filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 100% infill on a PRUSA I3 MK3S printer.
