Writting orthesis

thingiverse

A writing orthosis designed by and for a tetraplegic. The orthosis allows for a natural handling of any pen or pencil of diameters around 8mm. The orthosis should be equipped first and then the pen slid in between the fingers. Note that ballpen or hard carbon pencils maybe harder to use as they require strong pushdown. This orthosis was designed by Etienne MOULLET with the help of his father for the first thermoplastic version, and by Laurence BOISSIEUX for the geometrical primitives decomposition. A scalable and customizable version will soon be available . Printing Settings Printer brand: Creality Printer: Ender 3 V2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.16 Infill: 10% Filament brand: EYRONE Filament color: Emerald Green Filament material: Silk PLA Notes: In order to avoid undesirable supports inside the orthosis, it is recommended to rotate the piece in your slicer as shown in the pic where the orthosis stands alone The .3mf files contain the orthosis oriented in the correct direction for printing (otherwise, the last picure show you the way to print the orthesis)
