wrench, rain barrel, tank fitting, banjo

While upgrading tank fittings on my rain barrels, I encountered a challenge with the larger one that required a massive wrench. To avoid damaging the plastic (polyethylene) fittings, I opted not to use an extra-large pipe wrench, which tends to mar and deform them. The smaller wrench is designed for the female part of the fitting, while the large wrench is used on the nut. Measuring 2.97 inches (75.4mm) across the flats, the small wrench is a crucial tool, whereas the large wrench measures 3.97 inches (100.8mm). Both wrenches are remarkably thick at 0.5 inches (12.7mm). This solution works seamlessly with the Banjo brand TF-150 and TF-200 tank fittings (the TF-125 might also fit, but I haven't verified this).
