Wrench Holder (Wanhao/Monoprice i3)
thingiverse
I'm really excited about attaching a wrench holder to my Monoprice i3 printer! However, the original holder was just too loose for me. To solve this problem, I sliced the holder in half so users can file down or build up the holes to create a perfect friction fit for their wrench sets. To enhance the holes, apply super glue to the track and lay down several thin, straight extruded filaments. I also used Weldon 16 to reinforce the seams. Once the holes are precise enough for your wrenches, attach the two halves together with super glue. In addition, I adjusted the largest wrench shelf since it was disproportionate for my wrench collection. Print Settings: Printer Brand - RepRap, Printer - i3, Rafts - Doesn't Matter, Supports - No. Post-Printing Instructions: Filing, Filling, and Gluing: File down or fill up each half hole to ensure a friction fit between the two pieces when held together. If unsure, fill up first, then file down or use the wrench to spin and break down some of the filament and glue. When finished, attach the two halves together using super glue and clamps. You can also apply double-sided tape or glue to secure the wrench holder to your frame if desired.
