Wrapping Paper Cutter

Wrapping Paper Cutter MK 1 functions flawlessly when the blade is expertly seated into position... I successfully accomplished this feat using a thin elastic band... First, I carefully cut the band and then placed it over the slot... Next, I grabbed the scalpel blade with a long thin nosed pliers and pushed the elastic band into the slot along with the blade... Finally, I trimmed off any excess before pushing the blade in for its final few millimeters. This is MK 1 - Further refinements will be made as necessary. This design requires a #11 scalpel blade. I have experimented with various revisions of this prototype, but none have proven as effective as MK1. Therefore, I am opting to stick with that version for now.
