<p>What is the biggest challenge of the Christmas time? Gift wrapping! This gadget should help you with one hand tape operation during gift wrapping. Using legs for paper and gift holding is not necessary anymore!</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><h3>Introduction</h3><p>Wrapoman is an answer for Winter Holiday Season contest. As I'm more into functional design, I was looking for a Christmas time issue, I could improve.</p> <p>For me, gift wrapping is pretty tricky. During deep analysis I've found that the reason is difficult tape unwinding together with running wrapping paper. I wasn't able to design automatic wrapping machine in time, so I've fallen back to something "little" simplier. ;-)</p> <p>During the design I've realised that this could be helpful not just for guys with WSS (Wrapping Sucker Syndrom), but even for older people or people with some kind of disability. Win-win.</p> <h3>Printing and assembly</h3><p>Non printed parts:</p> <ol> <li>Tape width <20mm, hole diameter >19mm</li> <li>Razor blade (required)</li> <li>Suction cups (optional)</li> <li>Rubber bands (optional)</li> <li>Binder clip (optional)</li> </ol><p>Printed parts:</p> <ol> <li>Left and Right side of the holder</li> <li>Blade holder</li> <li>Base</li> <li>Bands (Three sizes available)</li> </ol><p>It happened, that during the design time, my printer had (and still has) 0.6mm nozzle mounted. On many places I've tried to design it independent on layer height (0.3 vs 0.2), however I've used recommended width for exact perimeters count (i.e. 1.24mm for two perimeters etc). I'll need to test print it with 0.4mm nozzle later and optionaly adjust the design.</p> <p>It's fine to print everything from PLA, however for bands PETG is definitely better option. You only need two bands according to your forearm size. Remove uncesseary size (3mf contains three) during slicing. All parts are supports free.</p> <p>For assembly just click parts together. Please be exteremly careful with the razor. Most dangerous part is to brake it. Use pliers against table or cutting mat.
