WPL low-profile cast axle servo mount for leaf-spring trucks
thingiverse
Something quick I threw together last night. A steering servo mount that attaches to your axle. It positions the servo as close as possible to the top of the axle for maximum suspension movement. My previous setup was a aluminum tray that kept bashing into the axle, so I cut out the mounting section and created this new design. Attach this part between the axle and leaf springs like standard leaf spring perches. This will only work with B model leaf-sprung WPL trucks because it takes up space where link mounts are on C models. This setup applies a slight lift to the front, around 0.075 inches. It's twice as thick as standard leaf spring perches, and you won't need those when using this part. The servo mounting holes are small on purpose. Drill a hole slightly smaller than your screw before installing it. I'm considering getting a linked truck soon (the C-44 looks great), so I'll see about creating a mount for that as well. This has been tested with Savox SH-0255 and some other servos I've used (I'll update when I remember their names). As for plastic axles, I'm not sure if this will work. If it does, leave a comment and I'll add the info to this post!
