This project is an ongoing effort for the WPL C44, with more items being added as the build progresses. In typical WPL fashion, no instructions are provided - instead, files for printing and pictures are made available, leaving it up to the individual to determine how they want to assemble the parts. One of the aspects that I appreciate about WPL products is their ability to stimulate creativity, requiring users to think critically and apply engineering skills, as well as engage in traditional modeling techniques. The hub caps feature lockers on the front and a blank on the back. Achieving accurate prints for this component proved challenging, with significant effort required to simplify the design sufficiently to enable successful printing. Detailed features were systematically removed until an acceptable print quality was achieved. As refinement of the prints continues, new versions will be made available, representing incremental improvements in accuracy and detail.
