WotR Infantry & Cavalry Company bases

Mainly designed for players of GW's Tolkien-licensed "War of the Ring" game, these bases are crafted according to specifications outlined on page 24 of the rule book. The infantry company base can accommodate eight miniatures with 25mm bases, featuring holes drilled at 25.5mm in diameter, and sits atop a base measuring 110mm wide by 60mm deep. Cavalry companies, on the other hand, can hold two models with 39mm bases, boasting holes made at 40mm in diameter, and are situated on a base that spans 90mm across by 50mm deep. Although designed specifically for this game, these dimensions serve as a versatile template for various wargames that utilize figures mounted on 25mm or 40mm round bases. Each base boasts a thickness of 6mm, while the holes for the miniatures reach a depth of 3mm. To accommodate gamers with unique requirements, I've provided Solidworks part files for those who wish to modify these bases into hexagons or squares, among other configurations. Use, abuse, and share your experiences – keep this community posted with pictures of these in action on your tabletop! Print Settings: * Printer Brand: LulzBot * Printer Model: TAZ 5 * Raft: Yes * Supports: Doesn't Matter * Resolution: .200 mm * Infill: 20% Notes: Printed using ABS. PLA could also work, but be aware that leaving them with miniatures in a hot car may cause issues. Feel free to experiment with the print settings – you might not need the raft, and different infill options are worth exploring. When printing, be prepared to lay these bases flat using your slicer program. Apparently, I need to reevaluate my design approach in Solidworks to ensure better alignment with the printer's coordinates. Post-Printing: * If a raft was used, remove it and sand off any sharp edges. * Prime and paint as you normally would. * Adding terrain features that match your figure bases is highly encouraged! If a cool color was chosen for printing, simply smoothing out the rough edges may be sufficient.
