Mainly designed for players of GW's Tolkien-licensed "War of the Ring" game, these bases follow the standards outlined on Page 24 of the rulebook. Infantry company bases can hold eight miniatures with 25mm bases (holes were drilled at 25.5mm in diameter) on a base measuring 110mm wide by 60mm deep. Cavalry companies can hold two models with 39mm bases (holes drilled at 40mm in diameter) on a base that is 90mm across and 50mm deep. Yes, they are primarily made for that game, but using these sizes as a reference makes them versatile enough to be used in various wargames featuring figures mounted on 25mm or 40mm round bases. Each base is 6mm thick, with holes for the miniatures reaching a depth of 3mm. I have provided Solidworks part files for those who want to modify them according to their gaming needs (for example, changing them to hexagons or squares). Use, abuse, and keep this community posted with pictures of these in use on your table! Print Settings: - Printer Brand: LulzBot - Printer: TAZ 5 - Rafts: Yes - Supports: Doesn't Matter - Resolution: .200 mm - Infill: 20% Notes: Printed with ABS. PLA could work, but be careful not to leave them with miniatures in a hot car. Play with the settings; you might not need the raft, and different infill might suffice. Be prepared to lay these flat using your slicer program. Post-Printing: If you use a raft, cut it off and sand the sharp edges off. Prime and paint like normal. Adding terrain features to match your figure bases is highly encouraged! If you use a cool color to print, just getting the rough edges off might be enough. How I Designed This: The standards followed are based on those outlined on Page 24 of Games Workshop's War of the Ring rules set for their Lord of the Rings miniatures.
