Wormscrew for Hitachi C10FL Table Saw Blade Height Adjustment
thingiverse
This Hitachi C10FL table saw's blade height adjustment worm screw replacement, part no. 726713, can be bought from Hitachi but I opted for an immediate fix by printing mine in PLA at 100% infill on a Makerbot Replicator using raft and support via MakerWare. Cleaning the support material from threads was tedious yet functional. However, the print required minor adjustments - shaft hole was too tight while overall length was slightly long, which I've tweaked in the file. The action is smooth like original and holding up fine under use. The printed part takes a heavy load; its durability is uncertain and use it at your own risk. Original thread design was inefficient so used separate STL via python scripts in openscad file. The hexagonal recess at bottom end, copied from original, seems purposeless as it sits against a flat collar during reassembly. If reprinting, I will remove this recess.
