To achieve a fully usable wormgear without soluble filling, simply print two pieces of half-gear using your RepRap 3D printer. After printing, adhere the halves together using chloroform (an effective adhesive for ABS), which has been tested and proven to work well. This method eliminates the need for ballast material and allows you to create a high-quality worm gear with just one RepRap printer; ensure that you design your model to be sliced into two half parts using CAD software before printing.
