Create worm drives with ease using an involute gear and trapezoid thread libraries. Non-throated worm drives have single contact points, limiting torque and wear capabilities. To mesh properly, ensure same pitch, equal pressure angles, matching screw-to-gear distances, and correct twist based on screw's handedness. This openSCAD script showcases the trapezoid thread library, along with MCAD involute gears, for animation purposes; find it in the github repository linked in comments.
