I recently created this portal model for the region selection of the 2020 worldskill challenge just a couple days ago. It was an 8-hour project, and I finished it quickly. The project was really challenging, but I enjoyed every minute of it. We started the day with a presentation of the project, and then I decided to work on it using a classic workflow. My journey began with a moodboard and some quick sketches, which helped me visualize my ideas. Next, I built the model, unwrapped the UVs, textured it, and uploaded it to Sketchfab. I even managed to rig the model, which wasn't part of the competition, but it's one of my favorite parts of 3D modeling. It was a simple rig, but I thought it would be great for creating some short animations. I had to make a few adjustments to the geometry, but it turned out well in the end.
