Concept by Ryan Metcalf: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/K0aW4 This is number two of four swords brought to life in 3D based on Ryan's concept art. As part of one of my final university modules, I'm creating four new portfolio pieces that focus on asset creation without originating the concept art myself, allowing me to see how they turn out. I crafted the base model in Maya, then refined it in ZBrush by softening its edges and adding more intricate details. Finally, I transported it into Substance Painter to add realistic textures.
