Concept by Ryan Metcalf: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/K0aW4 This is number one of four swords created in 3D based on Ryan's concept art. For my final university module, I'm creating four new portfolio pieces that focus on asset creation without developing the concept art myself to see how they turn out. I built the base model in Maya, refined it in ZBrush to smooth out edges and add more detail, then took it into Substance Painter to texture it accurately.
