World of Warcraft Lithophane Frame
thingiverse
I spent about a week completing this project using just one printer. The three lower lithophanes are made with eSUN PLA+ Cool White, which has 6000k backlighting, while Varok (Orc) has a yellowish transparency behind him. Ragnaros on top was printed with colorFabb PLA/PHA Standard White and lit with 2000k Warm light without any transparency. All prints were done at .1 resolution. Some of the basic settings I used include: .1 layer height, Accel values set to 400, Jerk values set to 8, print speed at 35mm/s, and no infill with multiple walls filling the inside. Since everyone's printer is slightly different, adjust accordingly. Each print took anywhere from 20-30 hours to complete. If you're interested in seeing more of my lithophanes or want to read up on print settings/STL generators, feel free to check out my website: https://www.gameon3d.com/ and/or come checkout my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/GameOn3D.
