We all design our workstations using AutoCAD 2008. Check out the Boxx Future Workstation Design Challenge here: https://grabcad.com/challenges/boxx-future-workstation-design-challenge. Dimensions are a must - length, width, height in mm: 420 x 206 x 567. When designing, we use motherboards, extended ATX type (13 inches by 12 inches) for their 330.2mm by 304.8mm space requirements. Every other component added is purely for aesthetic appeal and design flair. The workstation has three main sections: first, where the CPU, memory and graphic cards are placed; second, holding supplies like power adapters, optical drives and card readers; third, containing hard drives and/or solid state disks. This solution works best when managing temperature for each essential component. Like your designs, all our ideas here at work...
