Workshop Stool v2
thingiverse
In this revised version of my workshop stool, a 1/2" MDF is utilized to create the structure, which is press-fitted together. Designing it in SketchUp and cutting out on a ShopBot helped streamline the process. Improvements from the previous version include three legs for better stability on uneven surfaces, a bottom ring to reduce wobbling, 1/32" tolerance for easier assembly, and less waste of material (fits on a 2'x4' sheet). To create this stool, follow these steps: cut out the provided DXF file using your preferred CNC router from a 2' x 4' x 1/2" MDF or plywood sheet. Sand all parts until satisfactory and assemble by inserting legs into the bottom ring, followed by pushing down the seat onto leg nubs.
