WorkSharp WSKTS idler pulley
thingiverse
The idler pulley on my Work Sharp WSKTS sharpener snapped and got jammed.\r\nAfter taking it apart I found that it was just a plastic pulley glued onto a bearing.\r\nI measured the parts carefully and built a new pulley that fits perfectly on the bearing and works great.\r\nTo avoid dealing with overhangs and support issues, I printed the top flange separately and stuck it to the mating surface using superglue. It doesn't bear much weight at all.\r\n\r\nHere are links to the Fusion 360 files:\r\nPulley: https://a360.co/2TgghRC\r\nFlange: https://a360.co/2TkySfl\r\n\r\nKeep in mind that this pulley doesn't spin very fast and isn't under much load.\r\n\r\nI thought about adding some "crown" to the pulley surface to help guide the belt in the center, but the other tension pulley has a crown already and also features tracking adjustment.
