Workmate Replacement Part
thingiverse
My trusty Black and Decker Workmate 400 finally gave up years ago. Its eventual demise was probably a result of my own mistreatment, as I have been known to push its limits over the years. Despite its struggles, I managed to live with it for quite some time, but eventually, I grew tired of its inadequacies. Now that I've acquired a 3D printer, however, I can finally breathe new life into this faithful tool. The replacement part was carefully designed in Solidworks and printed on my reliable Prusa I3 MK2 using high-quality PETG material. To my surprise, everything fit together seamlessly the very first time. The hex piece required a bit of effort to insert, but a simple tug with the hex bolt from the other side did the trick. Miraculously, all the original steel hardware was still intact and ready for service.
