The wait is finally over. This is the Stargate Atlantis model from my latest published video. You won't need any motors for this model, but you will require approximately 130 NeoPixel/RGB LED's. The exact number of LEDs used will depend on how many you choose to include in the base. You can customize the steps, side panels, and rear window with as many or as few as you like. Below is a table showing how many I've used. Gate inner = 36 Gate outer = 27 Steps = 6, 6, 5, 5, 4, 4, 3, 3 Side front = 3, 3 Side middle = 3, 3 Top = 5 Rear window = 15 I've connected the LEDs to the Arduino in three circuits: Gate Inner, Gate Outer, and Base. The side panels have cutouts for cables. You also have two optional panel covers to choose from. A solid cover continues the pattern of the panel and fits from the inside. It's designed for the cutout you won't be using. An "air vent" panel looks like a real air vent and allows for easy fitting and removal. I think it adds a nice touch when there are no cables needed. The Arduino is mounted on a circular base, giving you the freedom to position it in any orientation that suits your needs. You have three options for chevrons: "chevron_1" is a single piece that can be printed as opaque or transparent. "chevron_2" and "chevron_3" are each made up of three pieces: "a" should be printed opaque, while "b" and "c" should be transparent.
