Working Stacked Verkstan Face Shields
thingiverse
I have added a new version with a solid front, recommending that you print it with at least 20% infill so the front isn't hollow, which helps to separate them without tearing the void open. The version with 0.416mm gaps between masks requires the Z height to be scaled to 96%, reducing the gap to 4mm and the height of the masks to 4.8mm, allowing printing with a 0.6mm nozzle at 0.4mm layer heights. Make sure you untick uniform scaling as you want the X and Y to stay at 100%. There is a 2-stacked file for testing. Added an Europe 8-hole version. All other files are the UK A6 version that you double punch. I made this stacked version of the Verkstan face mask because after trying at least 10 versions I found online, I couldn't find any that actually worked correctly. I removed the area inside the brow to make it easier to stack and separate, and added custom supports between masks which break away easily. Print this with a 0.4 or preferably a 0.6 nozzle, 0.2 layer height, 0.6 line width, 6 walls, tick the option for fill gaps between walls. Make sure they are printed solid; if you have a gap/infill between walls, you'll see it and they will be difficult to clean. Any other layer height won't work. I tried 0.4 layer height but it requires the gap to be 0.4 between each mask, and the maths don't work - the layer height needs to be divisible by 5mm (thickness of the mask) otherwise slicer rounds up/down the layer height and you'll either end up with a big mess or prints that can't be separated. You may want a brim although mine prints fine directly onto a build base. There are 20 in this stack, and you should get them printing in 10-11 hours depending on print speed (approx 30 minutes per mask). I will upload more variations and other multiples if requested.
