Working Pokémon Poké Ball
thingiverse
This is a remix of the 'Pokeball (with button-release lid)' by Intentional3D, so credit goes to them for creating the model. Based on the 80% scale version, I made it more life-size and modified the front button section to incorporate a switch. Exposed hinges are gone, replaced with a bunch of electronics that add special effects. These include: The front button activates the Pokeball. A red LED lights up at the front. A rumble motor simulates the Pokeball vibrating as Pokémon try to break out. A superbright internal LED simulates catching Pokémon. The opening lid can be automated using a servo. Everything is controlled by a PICAXE microcontroller, powered by 3x 1.5v N batteries. For more information and a step-by-step guide to recreate the Pokeball, check out my Instructable at https://www.instructables.com/id/Working-Pokémon-Poké-Ball-3d-Printed/.
