Working Garage Door Display
thingiverse
Working Garage Door Display Model A model of a garage door that automatically opens and closes with the simple addition of a motor, Arduino Uno microcontroller, Motor Shield, and a 1/4-20 threaded rod coupled with two 1/4 nuts. I designed this project as my initial experiment with SolidWorks CAD software and 3D Printing. Given my company's new launch of the Z-Wave Garage Door Opener, I opted for a scaled-down demonstration to showcase its functionality in an efficient manner. Upon investigation, no compact garage door demos were readily available for purchase, prompting me to fabricate this small-scale version myself. The built-in open and close logic remains straightforward; feel free to enhance it as per your preference, and kindly share any upgraded code with me. Expect forthcoming updates comprising photos, videos, and the Arduino script shortly. As an added step, I'm currently 3D printing a replacement model due to my first iteration being allocated for trade show purposes.
