Working Boeing 737 Flap and Speedbrake Lever for TCA Quadrant - Flight Simulator - Thrustmaster
cults3d
I didn't like the original TCA Quadrant Flap Lever. First of all, because it was missing the normal function (lifting it to move) This resulted in me accidentally moving it to the wrong position. And second of all, it just doesn't feel correct to just friction move it. So, months ago I set out to build myself another flap lever for the Quadrant Addon and this is where I ended up. Then one of the buyers asked me to create a Boeing 737 Version, so he could reuse the quadrant for the PMDG 737. While creating the flap lever I decided to add a speed brake lever too, for a more “Boeing experience” I wanted it to be easy to install and so the only additional thing needed is a spring (described below) everything else stays the same. Maybe some sandpaper and glue as well. There is NO multicolor printing needed, the speed brake lever and flap lever are split so you can print them in whatever color you want. Then just glue the parts together. Also included are thrust covers for keeping the dust out of your unit. Installation Glue the parts together but ensure the right direction, so that the speed brake lever handle isn't glued backward. Remove the original Levers by unscrewing the screws. Mount the inserts for the flap lever the right way (so the gates for Flap 1 and Flap 15 are in the right position) For this, I recommend double-sided tape or Velcro tape. I would advise against gluing them in, since this is rather permanent and the inserts are designed with some tape, which will raise them, in mind. Then mount the levers by using the original screws As an additional step, I recommend lubricating the flap lever upper and lower where they interface together, for frictionless operation. Connect the flap lever lower to the upper with the spring. Finally Enjoy :D
