Working Balistic Knife - Call of duty Black ops
myminifactory
This is my first project that involves mechanical parts, but fortunately everything worked out in the end. The Ballistic Knife is a special secondary weapon featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified, Call of Duty Online and Call of Duty: Black Ops III. The Ballistic Knife is a secondary weapon that can kill an enemy with just one shot when fired, as well as when used in close combat to stab them. A ballistic knife has a detachable blade that can be launched several yards away by pressing a trigger or operating a lever on the handle. Spring-powered ballistic knives briefly gained notoriety in the United States during the mid-1980s after being marketed and sold commercially in the US and other Western countries. This design is divided into several parts to make it easy to print. To assemble the model, you will need 3 springs: 2 compression springs and 1 torsion spring. The blade is split into two pieces so that it can be printed flat on a printer. The case where the larger compression spring goes is also divided in two, and the orientation of these parts is crucial when printing them. The other two parts are relatively easy to print. I decided to create this design as a challenge using mechanical components because I have spent countless hours playing Call of Duty and wielding this weapon in the game. To build it: 1. Print all the files. The blade needs to be printed twice. 2. Find the springs, which should be small in size; you can see their dimensions when printing the files. In my case, I used a spring from a pen for the button. 3. Before gluing the pieces of the case together, I recommend attaching the trigger using a piece of filament or tin and going through the torsion spring. Once this is attached, you can add the button with the smaller spring. Now that all this is in place, glue the other part of the blade case. 4. Finally, insert the larger spring into the blade case and then the blade itself. When you hear a click or see it move, your weapon is loaded, so be careful where you point it. 5. If desired, you can create a security pin using tin or similar material.
