Worker Hurricane 3xAA holder
prusaprinters

Welcome all foam flinging fans!

The Worker Hurricane is a lovely blaster, but comes with a battery holder that fits two AA cells. This design will allow you to fit three batteries without modyfying the blaster body.

Why would anyone want to use three AA cells instead of 2S LiPo?
I intend to use the blaster in home enviroment, where 4.5V gives the blaster enough punch to compete with springer Elite blasters, while not making it too strong for low-distance tags. You could fit three LiFePO4 cells to get around 9V, achiving similar performance to a 2S LiPo.

Hardware needed:

Thin solderable metal strip, around 3.5mm in width (I used a strip that connects connector pins bought in bulk)

M4 bolt

A bit of wire to extend the existing one, soldering iron, heatshrink tubing

A bit of foam to prevent rattling (I have used the foam the blaster was packed with)

Print instructions

Any settings are fine, I printed mine in PLA, 0.2mm layer height.
I would suggest using PLA, as melting it when soldering the tabs creates the least harmful fumes.
